Introducing ‘Snow Problem
‘Snow Problem is the first and currently only Robot in 3 Days team based in Minnesota. Braving the inevitable January snow, we will be building a robot for the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition from noon on January 3rd to noon on January 6th. Our team is composed of 15 members with over 80 years of combined FIRST experience. The majority of the team comes from GOFIRST, a student organization at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Our diverse members include the mentors and alumni from 13 different FRC teams.
Our mission in competing in the Ri3D challenge is to not only build a functional, (mostly) FRC-legal robot, but to share as much of our team’s collective knowledge with the FIRST community as possible. We aim to deliver quality updates on our progress during the challenge, as well as insight into our decision-making and design process, information on the 2015 control system, and our final mechanism designs. By providing quality information to teams, we hope to increase the level of competition in FRC.
We’d like to thank our sponsors, AndyMark, Black Dog Robotics, and the University of Minnesota, College of Science and Engineering, for making our participation in the Robot in 3 Days competition possible.
